Be a Carrier
Driving Success Together: Join Our Network of Trusted Partners
Requirements
If you meet the criteria for becoming a certified carrier, our team will send you an official Invitation email to join our partner monitoring program.
To start the registration process, you must have a valid MC/MX# or DOT#. Intrastate carriers without a DOT# may use a state registration number.
Additionally, we'll need you to complete a W9 form (have your TaxID ready) and provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets the following minimum requirements:
$100,000 Cargo Coverage
$1,000,000 Auto Coverage
Certificates must be submitted directly from your insurance producer (agent).
Contract Acceptance Terms & Conditions
By accepting this contract, the partner carrier agrees to the following terms and conditions:
The shipment must be exclusively handled by the carrier indicated in the "carrier" section of this confirmation. Any deviation from this requirement, such as using another mode of transportation or carrier, will result in automatic forfeiture of payment by the carrier.
Extra charges will only be compensated if confirmed and approved in writing by RDM TRANSIT.
Payment for the shipment requires the consignee's signature on the shipper's bill of lading.
The carrier acknowledges that solicitation of any parties involved in this shipment will result in non-payment of the account and may lead to legal action to recover lost revenue.
PAPS/PARS & ACE clearance must be obtained by the carrier prior to border arrival.
The carrier is responsible for identifying and addressing any discrepancies on the bill of lading before proceeding with the shipment, overriding the aforementioned instructions.
RDM TRANSIT acts as an agent for the principal shipper and/or consignee. The carrier indemnifies and holds RDM TRANSIT harmless from any claims related to loss or delay in transport services provided.
The Carrier Contract Number must be accurately listed on your invoice for proper identification and processing.
In the event of overage, shortage, or damage, it is imperative to promptly report such occurrences to RDM TRANSIT. Ensure that any discrepancies are immediately noted on the bill of lading to facilitate resolution.
All communication pertaining to shipments must be directed through RDM TRANSIT. Unauthorized contact with the customer, shipper, or consignee is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorized by RDM TRANSIT.
The carrier is responsible for providing an adequate amount of cargo insurance coverage to safeguard against loss or damage of any commodities and cargo transported. The carrier's cargo insurance policy must comprehensively cover all commodities carried under this order. Additionally, if the carrier's policy specifies covered vehicles, ensure that only scheduled vehicles are utilized for transporting cargo under this shipment.
All invoices from the carrier should be submitted to accounting@rdmtransit for efficient processing and payment.
